Born in New York City and raised in Southern California, I have lived in France for over a decade with my husband, son (born in 2009) and daughter (born in 2011).

While I was pregnant with my second child, my mother suddenly and unexpectedly passed away, an event which changed me forever, and shifted the course of my life as I had previously known it.

Although hastily written when I find myself with a few minutes to scribble, this blog serves as a place where I can jot down what I was feeling and what was happening during the time I had the privilege of watching my children grow up.

It is a place where I preserve my memories of my mother as they come to me in snippets, so that I don’t forget, and can share them with my children in the future.

It is a place where I remind myself everyday to live fully and loudly, to be present, and to remember to express gratitude for this life that I was blessed to be given…
